Chat box and/or thread update
Chat Box - I am guessing the chat box system at the bottom of the screen doesnt work or people dont use it.
Thread Update - There is this script I used on a vBulletin site I use to own until it got DDoS and hacked (Identity stolen). But its a java script that when a topic gets reply it stays active for however long the you set it to be. Same goes to new posted topics. I have about 100+ mods that I have downloaded from vB.org (yes I am member and I have a full 4.0.1 license).

if the chatbox suggestion is accepted i have inferno shoutbox pro for vB that you guys are welcome to if you want it let me know and i will link you i kinda keep it under lock and key because it is a rare find seeing as how its in my opinion the best shoutbox for any forum board that supports it and also the fact that inferno technologies no longer is operating

I have ISB Pro and then some. I also have the topic update system.
